HGTV.com Gardening Newsletters
Since April of this year I have been working for HGTV.com creating their monthly and bi-monthly Gardening Newsletters. This has been great for me in so many ways.
First, it has helped to revitalize my love of design. With so many gorgeous, lush, and colorful images to work with, it’s been a design experience like no other. Also I’m rarely, if ever, hired for just my design. I am very often hired for my coding, and sometimes hired to code and design, but never hired just to design. It was a boost to the ole artist ego, and a nice chance to enjoy just working with images again. ;o)
Another great thing is that it’s regular work. There is a newsletter every month, and twice a month in the Summer and Spring. In the freelancer’s world, it’s nice to have a little steady income.
Finally … it’s HGTV.com! It’s my first big name company that I can list as a client, and that feels pretty sweet.

Amazing work! Flows beautifully. I don’t mind the wait between posts, just as long as they don’t stop altogether :)

HGTV … well, well! Finally playing with the big boys, huh?
