Hover Whatever – So Damn Sweet!
Ok, so yeah, I’m seriously embroiled in the last minute wedding stuff … but this is sooooooooooo cool, that I thought I would just take a moment to share. Want to make IE obey hover on anything, not just links? Now you can!
First, grab this nifty Jscript from Peter Nederlof and save it to your site as csshover.htc. Now, in the head of your documents for which you want IE to obey hover rules on things other than links put:
And that’s it. UNBELIEVABLE. I’m so happy about discovering this one. Enjoy!

Awesome Mani! Thanks for sharing this little gem. I was actually skeptical, but I tried it out and it works like a charm. No special style rules for ie – just code it like you would for firefox and it’s all good in the hood.
Very cool.

Wow – this is so cool!!!
Like Ben, I was skeptical at first, but I employed this script and css and, amazingly, all “hover” stuff set in my css worked.
Awesome!
Thanks, Mani, for another wonderful tip!!!

Things are certainly getting complicated with IE around. I suppose its a bit too much to expect a universal solution for anything related to design without having to specifically cater to IE :/
