Brian: I got all excited when you said "Holding the Ctrl button while clicking the refresh button works in all browsers." I have been having real problems with IE hanging on to my JavaScript. Sadly, this did not work for me. Even the IE developer toolbar does not always clear scripts from the cache!

I do find setting Tools - Internet Options - General - Temp. Internet Files Settings - Check for newer versions of stored pages every visit seems to fix it. This really slows this (already sluggish) browser down though.

Holding the Ctrl button while clicking the refresh /reload button works in all browser as well. (As I understand Mac users can use the Command key in place of the Ctrl key.)

The same key combos work for Internet Explorer and Opera. And I suspect it is worth a try in all other browsers as well (ie. Safari, Konqueror, etc.).

Historical Note: the force refresh command in old Netscape was Shift + F5 (or Shift + Reload Button). (Although the modern versions may not use Shift anymore since they are build from the code of the Firefox/Mozilla project, I don't know.)
