Introducting Deluxe Digital Media
For the last two or three years I’ve had one client that I always referred to as my favorite. That client is Deluxe Digital Media. Together, we’ve worked on several high-profile sites, mostly in the adventure travel industry. We’ve been flirting the idea of a closer professional relationship for a while now. Well, we’ve moved on from flirting to serious dating. ;~)
Things are getting so serious that you can now find me on the About Us page of their new website, which I designed (including their new logo) and coded.
I’m very excited to report that the new design has been showing up on several of the showcase sites. Check it out:
Sometimes Dissapointments Work Out For The Best
This is my first “light-on-dark” layout and I had a lot of fun with it! I like it much better than my first mockup which, when I finished it, I really thought I loved too. Funny how that is, isn’t it?
For fun, here’s the first mockkup:
Sometimes the design you’re so excited about gets rejected, and it breaks your heart. Sometimes that happens and you are able to look back and see that it was for the best. Those are good times.

Oh my goodness – this is beautiful! I love the hummingbirds! And I love how each one is a bit different, and how they each have a subtle highlight.
This design is very “simple”, yet there are many small, detailed touches that give it that edge of refinement. Great job!
This Deluxe Digital Media seems pretty cool too. They must be offering you an amazingly sweet deal, since on your Hire page I know you say, “I’m quite happy with my freelancing lifestyle and I can’t even imagine how sweet the deal would have to be in order for me to consider taking it.” So … congratulations on that!

Very cool! I actually like the first mockup too … especially the crown (very deluxe!).
Nice work, Mani.
